Police: Roll-over crash, after driver tried to escape police

Police say a driver flipped his car after he made a run from cops early Wednesday morning.

Rochester Police say the incident began on Lyell Avenue when police pulled over a vehicle for during a normal traffic stop. When the officer got out of his patrol car, the driver of the car sped off.

Authorities say the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed, going over a bridge, and then eventually hit a curb on Upper Falls Boulevard causing the it to flip over.

Police say the driver did suffer minor injuries from the crash and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. No charges have been filed yet.
