There is a tie in the district attorney primary race in Livingston County .

After all the absentee ballots were counted Wednesday, the result was 1879 to 1879.

Steve Sessler, who was leading by less than 20 votes, received 87 absentee ballot votes while Eric Schiener recevied 106 absentee ballot votes.

There are four absentee ballots under dispute right now. If those ballots are thrown out, election officials tell News10NBC they will either toss a coin or split cards to determine a winner.

The winner faces current District Attorney Greg McCaffrey (D) in November.
