New hotel opens in Rochester's East End

A new hotel has opened up at the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the East Avenue Inn and Suites is scheduled to happen at 10 a.m.

Last month, the Rochester Business Journal reported that the circular portion on the front of the hotel is slated to be removed and replaced possibly by a two-story front with a balcony or a raised first floor ceiling.

More renovations are still expected.
