New hotel opens on East Avenue

You might notice something new the next time you drive through Rochester's East End.

A new hotel has opened up at the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the "East Avenue Inn and Suites" was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. More renovations are still expected.

The circular portion on the front of the hotel is slated to be removed and replaced, possibly with a two-story front with a balcony, or a raised first-floor ceiling.
