RG&E moves first of three transformers

Thursday morning, RG&E moved the first of three transformers. Each transformer is 40-feet long and weighs 186-tons.

The first transformer was moved from a location near Culver Road and Atlantic Avenue to Substation 42 off Blossom Road in Rochester.

The company says this is part of a major upgrade at the substation that will help RG&E maintain the reliability of the electric delivery system in the area.
