Police: Attica man drove drunk with child in car

A 46-year-old Attica man has been arrested after police say he was driving drunk with a child in his vehicle.

Police say they stopped Zachary Pope for failing to keep right and moving from the lane unsafely. He was subsequently charged with felony aggravated DWI, DWI, driving while ability impaired by drugs, consumption of alcohol in a vehicle, criminal impersonation after failing a sobriety test. Police say he had a child in the car at the time.

Pope was arraigned and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

He is due back in court on November 5.
