It’s a chance for some on the job training. The School of the Holy Childhood opened a new community classroom Tuesday at the Genesee Valley Regional Market.
Students will get to learn about new jobs and explore the world of work. The hope is to find paying jobs for after school and weekends. Organizers are excited about the partnership.
Melanie Byrne, School of the Holy Childhood Principal, said, "The community has really embraced us here on the market. And we will send kids out with job coaches, to learn how to do their jobs, and do them incredibly well."
The School of the Holy Childhood serves children and adults with developmental disabilities.
