Family forced from home after early morning fire

One adult and five children were forced out of their home by a fire early Thursday morning.

The fire broke out around 4:45 a.m. at a home on Barons Street near Clifford Avenue. Firefighters had a difficult time putting out the blaze because the flames were in the walls, roof and ceiling. The family made it out safely.

The Red Cross is helping the family.
