Rochester man charged with two robberies in Greece

A Rochester man has been charged in connection with two robberies in Greece.
Gerald Smalls, 21, of Rochester, is charged with two counts of robbery.
The first robbery happened on August 28 on an access road near Latta Road. Police say a man was walking his dog when he was approached by Smalls who displayed a pair of scissors and demanded the victim’s belongings. Police say when the victim refused, Smalls stabbed him in the shoulder with the scissors.
The second robbery happened on Lake Avenue near Stonewood Avenue on September 14. Police say a man was walking when he was approached by Smalls who displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s belongings. Police say the man kicked Smalls and Smalls took off.
The Rochester Police Department and Greece Police Department located the Smalls a short distance from the scene and took him into custody.
Smalls is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail awaiting further court proceedings.
