Investigators in New York's Southern Tier have scheduled a news conference to discuss the shooting death of a small-town school superintendent.
The body of 51-year-old Keith Reed Jr. was found Monday about 150 feet outside his home in the rural town of Clymer.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace and District Attorney David Foley are expected at the news conference Thursday afternoon. Neither will release details before then.
Reed had been hired as superintendent in Clymer in November. He'd previously worked as an administrator at schools in the Elmira area and in Chenango and Steuben counties.
His funeral is Friday in his hometown of Salamanca.
