Stanley motorcyclist pronounced dead after crash

An Ontario County resident was pronounced dead Thursday evening, Sept. 27 after a motorcycle crash on Lake to Lake Road in the Town of Seneca.

Christopher R. Trottier, 26, was operating his motorcycle west on Lake to Lake Road at around 6:50 p.m. when he lost control and went off the north side of the road, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office. The motorcycle continued west through yards, struck a utility pole and continued through a ditch.

Stanley Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene, but all efforts to revive Mr. Trottier failed, according to deputies. He was pronounced dead later at Geneva General Hospital.
