Senator Schumer secures $20 million loan for Rochester's College Town Project

nullSenator Chuck Schumer has secured $20 million in federal loans for Rochester’s College Town Project.

The project is supposed to revitalize part of Mount Hope Avenue with new restaurants, retail and housing space. The total price tag is $100 million. The project will create over a thousand jobs.

Earlier this month, Schumer called on Department of Housing and Urban Development to approve a loan by September 30 to avoid delays in the project. With the loan, groundbreaking for the project is planned for November.
