The New York Lottery Tuesday announced Robert Chidsey of Farmington won $50,000 on the Lottery's $5,000,000 Cash! scratch-off game. Chidsey's winning ticket was purchased at the Wegmans at 345 Eastern Boulevard in Canandaigua.

Lottery prizes up to $600 may be cashed at any of the lottery's 17,000 licensed retailers statewide. Lottery prizes valued at $601 to $999,999 may be claimed at any of the lottery's stand-alone customer service centers located in Buffalo; Rochester; Syracuse; Schenectady; Fishkill; Manhattan; and Garden City, and within any of the lottery's video gaming facilities including Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack. Prizes of $1,000,000 or more must be claimed at one of the lottery's stand-alone offices listed above.

Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education. It takes into account both a school district's size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of Lottery school funding.
