Police ID man shot on Parkway Street

Rochester Police are investigating a shooting on Parkway Street. It happened just before 8 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say the victim, 21-year-old James Kates of Rochester, was walking on Parkway Street when he was shot by an unknown person. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment and later released.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911. This investigation is continuing.
