The Wyoming Co. Sheriff's Office confirms to News10NBC that a body was found in the basement of a building fire in the Village of Castile. Deputies have not identified the victim at this time but they believe it is Lorraine Qutermous. Official identification will be made by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
Wednesday morning, family and friends of Lorraine Qutermous gathered as crews searched the rubble for their any clues to her whereabouts.
Qutermous lived in an apartment and owned the restaurant that was part of the historic North Main Street building that burned. She was the only person who lived in the building and her car was parked nearby. Family says she has not been heard from since the fire broke out early Tuesday morning.
News10NBC is told the building will eventually be demolished.
