RGHS names new Chief Medical Officer

Rochester General Health System has named a new Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Rob Mayo will replace Dr. Richard Gangemi who will be retiring at the end of 2012.
Mayo has served in a variety of leadership positions at Rochester General Hospital. In 2004, he was selected by more than 800 nurses as RGHS’s first Physician of the Year.
Dr. Mayo is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in nephrology. He will continue to practice on a part time basis. He and his family live in Victor.
