Car crashes into utility pole in Perinton, driver charged with DWI

A 36-year-old Webster man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after a one-car crash in Perinton.

According to sheriff's deputies, a car driven by Kyle Eldridge crashed into a utility pole around 3:30 a.m. on Route 31 near Kreag Road. A portion of that road was shut down so crews could carefully remove the wires.

Eldridge was not injured.
