The Rochester Fire Department has ruled that the house fire that killed a Rochester woman and mother of seven last month was not accidental.
Chandra Majors was found dead on the second floor of her house on Pierpont Street last month. Her children were not home when the fire broke out.
After a thorough investigation, the Rochester Fire Department and the Arson Task Force have determined that the fire was not accidental. The Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit will now be the lead investigation unit for the case.
Majors' family has said they always believed foul play was a factor in the deadly fire.
