Community members and leaders came together on Thursday to cut the ribbon on the Art Walk extension project.
The Art Walk extension and enhancement project made changes to University Avenue, North Goodman and Union Streets, replacing sidewalks and adding sculptures along the way.
It was modeled after the original art-walk, an outdoor museum in the city's art neighborhood that was built in 2001.
Community leaders say it's projects like these that help to bring Rochester together.
Kate Bennett, President of RMSC, says, "I think it means Rochester working together to have a vision where we are greater than the sum of our parts. We're all connected and so many people have participated in creating the vision of what was going to be in this generation of Art walk and we're all now celebrating that and connecting."
The $9.1 million dollar project is funded in the most part by grants from the state.
