Geneva man charged with attempted criminal possession of marijuana

A 29-year-old Geneva man is facing charges after 10 pounds of marijuana was found inside a package.

Angnem Green of Geneva is charged with attempted criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.

Police say the investigation began on October 1 when a Seneca Falls resident received a package through the mail. Police say the package contained 10 pounds of marijuana with an approximate street value of $50,000.

Seneca Falls Police say the package was sent from Arizona and was supposed to be picked up by Green at the home where it was delivered.

Green was later found in Geneva and arrested. He was arraigned and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail.

A felony hearing is scheduled for October 9.
