On Sunday morning, a man was fatally shot on Copley Street.
News10NBC spoke to several neighbors on Sunday who say the neighborhood where it happened, is a quiet one. One even said their family has lived their for generations.
Residents on Copley Street say they were shocked when they heard the sound of gunshots early Sunday morning.
News10NBC spoke to the woman who called 911 after the shooting. Because of the nature of the crime, she asked that we not reveal her identity.
She says, "Suddenly I heard what sounded like these really loud gunshots."
The woman says it felt like a dream, but when she looked out of her window she knew it was very real.
"I looked out. The man was laying on his back with his hands out kind of hanging in the air almost."
The woman lives on Copley Street, where police say 37-year-old William Klick was shot and killed.
They say he was shot multiple times in the upper torso. Police found his body in front of the woman's home.
The crime has her quite shaken up. She says, "You hear about these things happening all over the city but to actually have it happen right there you know, I'm watching this guy die. It's a horrible feeling."
The woman says she called 911 as soon as she saw the body laying amongst the leaves.
She says she was upset at the news that he did not survive.
"Whoever he is, he has a family and he may have children... I mean, he's a real person. He's just not a body, he's a person."
It's a feeling she says will be hard to shake.
When asked if she was going to think about it for a while she says, "I know I will. Definitely."
Neighbors tell News10NBC that the man did not live on that side of the block. Police are still investigating the incident. At this hour, they do not have any suspects in custody.
