2-day event featuring Dalai Lama at Syracuse Univ.

Two days of panel discussions and music kicks off at Syracuse University, with the Dalai Lama as the star attraction.
    
The "Common Ground for Peace" event starts Monday morning with a symposium on the Middle East in the Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center on the Syracuse campus, with a second panel discussion in the afternoon. The 77-year-old Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of Tibet, will be the centerpiece of the gatherings.
    
Particpating panelists include former CIA director R. James Woolsey Jr., former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young and Martin Luther King III.
    
Tuesday night's music lineup at the Carrier Dome includes performances by Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, Nas, Cyndi Lauper, Engelbert Humperdinck, Roberta Flack, David Crosby and Nelly Furtado.
