Report: 3-D mammograms make a difference in fighting breast cancer

3-D mammograms are making a difference in the fight against breast cancer compared to conventional mammograms, which are two-dimensional.
3-D scans take images from different angles and a new report shows the scans give doctors a more in-depth look at breast tissue. The 3-D imaging can detect the smallest tumors that regular mammograms might not detect.
The downside -- most medical insurance companies don't cover the 3-D scans.
