How do you overcome grief? Most people would say by getting comfort from those close to you and by sharing a meal.

That’s what people in Castile, Wyoming County are doing. Many are grieving the loss of restaurant owner, Lorraine Qutermous, who is believed to have died in last week's fire that destroyed her restaurant and the Castile village and town hall.

Monday morning, members of the Castile United Church of Christ reached out with a continental breakfast in the Fellowship Hall -- the church is right across the street from the burned out building.

Church officials say it's important to be able to have the community come together, many of them customers, after going through such a tragedy.

Marlene Loomis said, “We have had an amazing turnout. It's very heartwarming to know that members of the community can meet together and grieve together, because we're all grieving over the loss."

The church will continue to host the new breakfast program every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the rest of the month.
