Fire Prevention Week in the City of Rochester

Mayor Tom Richards will present a proclamation Wednesday declaring this week "Fire Prevention Week" in the City of Rochester.

This is an annual event meant to encourage Rochester residents to practice fire safety in their homes.

Each year, the National Fire Prevention Association chooses a new theme. This year's theme is "have two ways out." Families are encouraged to plan and practice escape routes from their home in case a fire breaks out.

After the proclamation, there will be a fire drill at City Hall.
