Man files lawsuit against deputies who shot, killed his dog

nullA Perinton man whose pitbull was shot and killed by Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies has filed a lawsuit against the two officers involved.

It claims deputies Shaun Leclair and Matthew Clancy intentionally shot and killed Gary Brockler's dog Diablo in June.

Police were called to Brockler's home on Whitney Road for a report of an illegally parked car.

Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn says his deputies did not do anything wrong and the dog was extremely aggressive towards the officers.

Brockler is suing for $10,000 in damages.
