Police ID man shot on Lake Avenue

nullPolice in Rochester are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning on the city's northwest side.

Police say just before 2:30 a.m. an officer heard shots fired and saw a man running on Lake Avenue near Ravine Avenue. Officers say that man, a 37-year-old Roderick Ross, of Rochester, had been shot several times in the upper body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is in satisfactory condition.

Police are still searching for a suspect and their investigation is ongoing.
