You have a chance to help seniors stay warm this winter. County Executive Maggie Brooks will be on hand Wednesday morning for the launch of the ninth annual "Coats for Seniors" program.
The program aims to provide new and gently used coats to seniors in need this winter.
Officials say more than 4,600 coats have already been donated in past drives.
Donations of new and gently-used adult-sized coats will be accepted weekdays between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at participating senior centers. Donation boxes will also be set up in the atrium of the Monroe County Office Building, located downtown at 39 West Main Street; The Monroe County Office for the Aging at Monroe Community Hospital, located at 435 East Henrietta Road; and Colony Dry Cleaners, located at 695 Howard Road in Gates.
The program runs from October 17, 2012 to December 31, 2012.
