Three people charged with stealing an ATV

Three people are facing charges after police say they stole an ATV.

Seneca Falls Police say they received a report of three males pushing an ATV down Haigh Street around 1 a.m. When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the suspects and the ATV.

After an investigation, officers determined that the ATV had been stolen from a home on Toledo Street.

Officers later stopped a vehicle in the area with three male occupants and determined they were involved in the incident. Police say the ATV was found hidden behind a home nearby.

Twenty-year-old Joseph Greenwood of Wolcott, a 16-year-old male from Wolcott and 16-year-old male from Seneca Falls are charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, conspiracy and trespass.

All three were arraigned and released. They are due back in court on October 24.

Both teens are eligible for youthful offender status.
