On Wednesday, Maggie Brooks and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter's campaigns released new ads.

Brooks’ campaign released a third ad highlighting Louise Slaughter’s record of pay raises, trips and tax hikes on local families.

Campaign Manager Noah Lebowitz said, “Our latest ad exposes entrenched Washington insider Louise Slaughter for running a sleazy campaign to hide her shameful record. Mrs. Slaughter voted to raise her own pay seven times, and then took dozens of lavish foreign trips on the taxpayer dime. Mrs. Slaughter took over $5 million in special interest cash, and then pushed the tax hikes that they wanted onto the backs of local families. From her sleazy campaign to her shameful record, Louise Slaughter just isn’t for us anymore.”

Louise Slaughter's campaign released an ad titled, "Jobs".

In response, Eric Walker – a spokesman for Slaughter’s campaign – said, "While Maggie Brooks is trying to cover up her record of scandal and corruption with special interest money and deceitful attack ads, Louise is putting people back to work and moving our economy forward. President Clinton's visit on Friday will set the record straight for voters: Louise has been a force for local jobs, while Maggie is just another vote for the special interests bankrolling her campaign."
