Son of Monroe County Republican Committee Chair Bill Reilich pleads guilty to unemployment fraud

The son of Monroe County Republican Committee Chair Bill Reilich has taken a plea deal.

William Reilich Jr. pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of offering a false instrument in Rochester City Court Wednesday morning. The felony counts against him were dismissed with the plea.

Reilich Jr. received about $7,700 in unemployment benefits while he was working as a mechanic at the Monroe County Department of Transportation. News10NBC has learned Reilich Jr. currently works at the airport.

The 31-year-old will work 12 weekend days as a sentence. He has paid $7,700 in restitutions for his crimes.
