Survey: Shoppers plan to splurge on themselves this holiday season

Results of a new survey find holiday shoppers plan to splurge on themselves this holiday season.
 
According to the survey conducted by BigInsight for the National Retail Federation, the average holiday shopper will spend $749.51 on gifts, holiday decor, greeting cards and more. That's almost $9 more than they actually spent last year.
 
At the same time, six in 10 shoppers plan to spend an average of $139.92 on gifts for themselves.
