Brockport to take a stand against domestic violence on October 23

The College at Brockport says it is continuing its efforts to raise awareness and fight against domestic violence by holding "Take Back the Night" -- a rally and march that will feature a variety of speakers, a moment of silence and candle lighting in memory of Alexandra Kogut.

Kogut was found dead inside her dorm on September 29. Her boyfriend, Clayton Whittemore, is charged in connection with her death.

The event begins at 7 p.m. on October 23 at Brockport’s Campus Mall.
