A big financial settlement for a former Orleans County prison inmate who was raped by a guard.

A woman, whose name is not being released, will get more than $600,000.

According to the Times Union of Albany, the woman was raped back in 2007 at Albion State Prison.

The guard, Donald Lasker, was later fired and sentenced to two months of weekends in jail.

Investigators say this was the second incident. They claim Lasker tried to rape the victim once before but was caught by a prison sergeant. At that time he was not disciplined.

Lasker was previously under investigation for another case where a different female inmate also accused him of rape.
