Survey: Banks still using hidden fees

Despite recent crack-downs efforts, a new study says banks are still finding new ways to charge you for basic services.
A state-by-state analysis by Pew Charitable Trusts looked at checking accounts. The study found banks still had many fees hidden in their terms of service agreements. Some of those fees included charges for both opening and closing your account.
Researchers say we pay an average of $259 in fees each year for our checking accounts.
They recommend that banks give customers a list of fees they charge, so customers better understand what they will pay.
