The FAA is investigating a plane crash in the Town of Seneca Falls. It happened just after 11 a.m. Sunday on a grass runway just west of Farron Road.
Seneca Falls Police say the 1971 single-engine Cessna plane was being piloted by a 49-year-old Penn Yan man and while attempting to land, high winds forced the plane to the ground. Police say the plane hit the ground nose first on the edge of the runway next to a corn field.
The pilot and his 50-year-old passenger were not injured.
