Students in the Greece Central School District have a new tool to use in the classroom, an iPad.
The district unveiled the new iPad tablets it recently purchased. The goal is to give students an opportunity to use and understand technology more. Each school with grades 3 through 5 received 30 tablets.
The Greece Central School District superintendent says technology is going to be a factor in the classrooms of the future.
Barbara Deane-Williams, Greece CSD Superintendent, said, “When we look at the future in education I think we're going to see technology takes a more prominent role. Certainly students being able to access and use technology and to engage with curriculum instruction, and learning we're going to see its something they're really need to have access to on a daily basis, on a regular basis.”
The district partnered with New York State Senator Joe Robach to bring the devices to the district.
