nullA bill in the Monroe County legislature to address issues surrounding the county's high infant mortality rate has been referred to the administration for further study.

Officials say 54 babies died before their first birthday last year.

Democrats say the proposal would allow the county executive to have discussions with community groups in order to create public service announcements to raise awareness.
