An exhibit featuring a thousand women who have been nominated for three Nobel Peace Prize is on display at St. John Fisher College.
The college hosted two special guests Monday night. Cora Weiss is a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and President for the Hague Appeal for Peace. She and Tony Jenkins, from the National Peace Academy, spoke to a crowd at the college. Weiss is featured in the exhibit, which has appeared in 60 countries since 2005. Speaking on the importance of teaching peace to others, Weiss said "We have to teach so that people learn to respect each other, so that people learn how to think, how to solve problems and so people think about alternatives to violence."
The exhibit will be on display in the school's Lavery Library until November 30th.
