A bartender at LongHorn Steakhouse in Victor is facing charges after State Police say he pocketed $800 that didn't belong to him.

Investigators say 35-year-old David Ramos of Victor made fraudulent transactions using the cash register and added inflated gratuity to the fake check. According to police, Ramos stole the cash at the end of his shift as the transactions appeared to be excess tips.

Police say over a six-month period, Ramos stole $800. He is charged with falsifying business records and petit larceny.

State Police say Ramos was arrested for the same crimes while employed as the manager at Bellini’s restaurant in Victor.

Ramos is due in court on October 25.
