Deputies: Teen arrested after leading deputies on short chase

A 16-year-old from Shortsville is under arrest after a short police chase early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff's Deputies say Ronald Sennett led them on a short chase through the Village of Shortsville in Ontario County just before 3 a.m.

Deputies first spotted him driving without his head lamps on in a school parking lot. As they went to stop him, they say he sped up and tried to get away.

He was stopped a short time later on a nearby street and deputies found that he didn't have a valid license.

Sennett was issued an appearance ticket and was also given traffic tickets.

He will be back in court at a later date.
