A Wolcott man is facing charges after police say he dragged his wife after an argument with her.
This happened Tuesday at 10:00am at the Express Mart in Macedon.
Police say David Cruz, 32, of Wolcott had a fight with his wife at the Express Mart in Macedon. Police say Cruz’s wife attempted to get out of the parked car. As she was getting out, police say Cruz put the car into reverse and accelerated and she was caught between the door and the pavement. Police say Cruz did not stop and continued backing up, dragging his wife under the car.
Cruz took off and was arrested in Palmyra. He was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, assault and reckless endangerment. He is also being charged with DWI. Police say Cruz was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of 0.11%.
Cruz is due back in Macedon Village Court on November 14. An order of protection was issued for the victim.
