Police ID man shot on Winterroth Street

A 26-year-old Rochester man is in stable condition after being shot Wednesday night. It happened around 8 p.m. on Winterroth Street.

Police say the victim, Quinton Cotton, was standing outside a home on Winterroth Street when he was confronted by an unknown man who began shooting at him.

Cotton was shot in his lower torso and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Anyone who has information about this shooting is asked to call 911.
