Young professionals in Rochester had the chance to meet and share ideas Thursday night at the Memorial Art Gallery. It was the 2012 Entrepreneur Expo.

The expo was part socializing, but mainly it was an event for young business owners to exchange ideas.

More than 30 young professionals with their own businesses came out to talk about their businesses, share their experiences and their successes.

This is the second year of the 2012 Entrenpreneur Expo. Last year, about 250 came out to check out the event.

News10NBC spoke with a young professional there who works with Nothnagle Realtors, who also helped to organize the event.

Mandy Friend explained why events like this are so important.

"For one to share these stories with each other, how did you get here? Also to promote their businesses. In Rochester we love to support local, and that's what it is about-- to support each other and really grow in the community," Friend says.

The businesses at the expo ranged from photo studios, health and fitness companies, even clothing companies.
