Two people in hospital after apartment fire

Two people were hospitalized after a Thursday night apartment fire in Rochester.

Firefighters say the victims in the fire suffered minor injuries. That fire started around 9:30 p.m. at the Manor Parkway Apartments, which are off of South Avenue.

Officials say upon arrival they found there was heavy smoke coming out of a first floor apartment. Luckily, the fire was contained to just one apartment. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire at this time.

The Red Cross tells News10NBC it is helping a woman with a place to stay.
