A 2.5 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Niagara County overnight.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the earthquake at 12:34am Friday.

Our affilate, WGRZ, received dozens of phone calls and comments on Facebook shortly after the quake inquiring about a loud 'boom' that shook homes.

Niagara County Sheriff's office sent deputies to Olcott, Barker and Lockport, where several of the 911 calls came in from, to investigate and found nothing.
