Microsoft is making a big push for Windows 8 and consumers are saying, yawn.
A phone survey of nearly 1,200 adults conducted by The Associated Press and GfK finds 52-percent have not even heard of Windows 8. Among those who had, 61 percent have little interest in buying a computer running it. Only about a third said it will be an improvement. That's not to say they don't like Windows.
The poll finds 80 percent of respondents with home personal computers use Windows in one of its earlier forms.
When asked about Surface, Microsoft's new tablet computer, 69-percent said they had little or no interest in getting one.
