City of Rochester launches new app

Looking to find things nearby in the City of Rochester? Well there's an app for that.

Rochester Mayor Tom Richards held a news conference Thursday to unveil the city's new mobile website and the built-in app called "What's Nearby." The new tool puts everything you need to know about the city right at the palm of your hand, as well as giving you information on events happening around you.

Mayor Richards said, “You can search for parking or government buildings. explore parks, trails or even find events. whatever you're looking for this app can find it, give you information about it, and tell you how to get to it.”

All you have to do is log on to the city's website right from your phone's browser.
