The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge will temporarily open Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to release a barge which was unable to depart Irondequoit Bay with the placement of the outlet bridge due to Hurricane Sandy.

The barge was scheduled to leave the Bay on November 1, but was not able to due to unfavorable conditions. To let this vessel through, the bridge will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. Monday.

At 2 p.m., the bridge will close to boaters for the remainder of the season.
