Dan Maffei wins over incumbent Ann Marie Buerkle

In the race for the newly drawn 24th Congressional District, it was a rematch between democrat Dan and incumbent republican Ann Marie Buerkle.

This year, Maffei outlasted Buerkle. In his 2010 bid for re-election, he lost to Buerkle by fewer than 700 votes but this time he will be the one going to Washington.
